Might not have a Honda anymore but that doesn’t mean I’m not a ricer. Got these 13 color lights at O’realy’s on clearance a few months ago. Total impulse purchase. I was originally going to put them in the Rabbit, but the cigarette lighter doesn’t work. I’ve been driving to, and sometimes from work in the dark because winter.
I spent a whole 5 minutes installing them with no modifications, I just tucked the wires into the bottom of the center console plastic, but there’s still a lot of wire showing behind the front seats. If I don’t hate them I’ll take the time to really tuck them.
I’m not sure if I’ll keep them purple or if I want to go red to match the dash lights.

I would have gone with a blue to contrast the Orange in the gauges , or Orange itself.

Haha, I mean, I’m not a big fan of the whole exterior look to most ‘rice’ cars, personally, but little interior mods like this are fine to me. That being said, we all have individual preferences in our taste in cars, but I firmly believe in the ‘if YOU like it, go for it’ route. It’s your ride friend, personalize it where and how you enjoy to make it your own! :)
I mean....I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback, most people look at it as a boring unenjoyable crapcan with a ‘why would you bother’ mentality (there’s not a lot of aftermarket support for it at all, for example)
....and they are probably right in a lot of ways. But, mine has a stick (and anything with a stick make it more fun, whatever it is!), it’s been hugely reliable, I like the look of it (the sedan far less so, but it’s still OK), it’s comfortable enough, parts and maintenance are cheap and readily available and it’s fully paid for. It may be basic, cheap and a run of the mill ecobox, but it’s MINE and I love it. :D
In comparison to your car, I don’t have any of the footwell or any other similar lighting mods to the interior, but I do have a full interior LED bulb swap, which has helped tremendously with the brightness in the cabin at night - if your BMW doesn’t have that yet (maybe it came factory? I don’t know a hug
e amount about BMW to be honest!), I suggest it as an easy upgrade! :)

My Golf has a set of red LEDs in the front seat footwells. They’re wired in with the dash light dimmers. I don’t hate it.

I had blue lights under the dash, and in the trunk of my Camry. But they were he old cheap LED bars you could get at Walmart that only actually had one or two LEDs in them, there are soooo much brighter.

Sadly the gauge, and sand lights are very red. I’d actually prefer an nice amber, or orange. I really miss the seafoam green my Old Galant had.

The scourge of computer RGB prevents me from looking at this and not at least wondering what sort of programmed effects it should have for max ricer points.

I’ve always wanted pulsing lights. Butter how to do that.

Don’t hold me to this, but I think there was some to-do about music activated lights that put the kibosh on selling them openly for interior purposes. MB’s come with some rather lurid options nowadays so it might fly in small town WI.
I’m sure there are multiple ways to do it. Adapting car battery power to a computer rgb controller with phone app or physical control might not be the easiest. Would have to look into it.

I’m glad you understood what “butter how to do that” meant
